Print Options Explained

Print Options Explained

Choosing a piece of art to purchase is a very personal decision and can be a significant monetary investment. You want to know you’re getting the best quality materials as well as the right type and size of print that best suites your taste and decor.

Print Type

Artist Signature Prints

I print these personally to ensure each print faithfully represents my artistic vision. I print using Epson’s latest UltraChrome PRO12 ink set onto their Legacy Baryta II fine art paper for exceptional colour rendering, stability and permanence. The paper has a luster finish and works equally well mounted under glass or acrylic or hung on its own.

I inspect each print personally, sign it and ship it to you wrapped in acid-free paper, protected in a poly bag and inside a sturdy mailing tube.

Perfect for: someone who enjoys the classic feel of a signed fine art print but wants to get their own custom framing.

Framed Prints

Printed on fine art matte paper and mounted using archival materials beneath clear acrylic, each framed piece comes ready to hang inside a sturdy shipping package.

A framed print has a classy, traditional look that is timeless. Great for monochrome and colour prints alike, it’s sure to elevate any decor.

Due to the weight of the materials causing structural limitations, framed are only available in Studio and Gallery sizes.

Perfect for: someone who wants a smaller piece with a classic look that gives the print presence despite a smaller size.

Giclee Gallery Wrapped Canvas

Printed on fine art canvas 410g/m2 and stretched over 1.5” stretcher bars, these pieces come with a protective coating and are ready to hang right out of the box.

The texture of the canvas gives a painterly look and feel to each piece blending the look of painted art with the rich colour and incredible detail of a photographic print.

The wonderful thing about a canvas piece that it’s lightweight for its size. This makes hanging even masterpiece sized prints easy with minimal hardware.

Perfect for: someone who enjoys the painterly look of a traditional fine art canvas and perhaps with a large space to fill.

High-Definition ChromaLuxe Metal Prints

These high gloss, high-definition pieces are printed using Epson UltraChrome inks sublimated onto aluminum panels. Looking for a high vibrancy, detail rich print full of depth then an ultra modern appearing metal print is for you.

Since the dye is infused directly into the surface, metal prints in addition to being archival in nature are also scratch resistant and extremely easy to clean.

These pieces are shipped with a back frame and hanging wire already attached ready to hang. Like canvas, these prints are lightweight and easy to handle.

Perfect for: someone looking for an exciting modern look with rich blacks and vibrant colours.

Sizes

Even though we’re a metric country in Canada, for some reason the art world still operates mostly in inches. All print sizes below are quoted in inches for a typical 2:3 ratio piece. Square and panoramic formats will have slightly different measurements.

Studio 16x24

These are the smallest sizes I offer. Great for the nooks and crannies in your space that just need a little something extra.
